KEF Q900 + Yamaha HTR 5790

Hello,

I was thinking about purchasing a pair of KEF Q900's and was wondering if they will work well with my Yamaha HTR 5790.

My problem: I see they have a rated impedance of 8ohm but i read an article that these speakers can drop to 4ohms or below.

Hi Ryan,

The best person to ask is David over at Hifix. He stocks the KEF speakers and often recommends them. I would have to go with upgrading your amp to get them best out of these speakers.

While we are on this topic Have you considered other brands of speaker in this price bracket? What is your primary reason for buying these, is if for movies, music or perhaps both?

Once we know, we will be able to recommed some AV units, also budget please?
