KEF LS50 and an Electrocompaniet ECi3 .

KEF use Electrocompaniet amps to develop and demo the reference range of speakers at the KEF factory , the little ECi3 will drive and control almost any speaker no matter how difficult the load , and my instinct tells me this pairing would be a very good match indeed . 🙂

An absolute steal at the price, so much so I contacted them to see if it is still available.

Going to read the Tone Audio review in your link and dream that the dealer will accept my proposal as this amp is the heart of my dream set up and at the price I can get it, so long as they will accept my payment offer.

I've had the LS 50's with Densen DM20/DM30, Harman Kardon HK990, Ayre AX-7E & now the Hegel.

The Hegel performs almost identically to the Ayre at a fraction of the cost + it has a built-in DAC. Very nice package if you ask me.

You might have to wait until Tuesday for an answer because Audiodestination is a small family run business and their daughter is getting married on Saturday so they are closed until Tuesday .

In terms of my ambitions, this is like the window of opportunity opening, I just hope it comes off.

Thanks again, if it works out I will put a pair of R500's on the end of the EC3i. That might be interesting.
