kef 1005.2 worth the £299 and which av to pair with?

Just put by a brand new kef 1005.2 5.1system for £299, are they still worth that this day and age compared to sets around these days? Also what av to use? maybe the onk608 for £299 or do the kef sound better with a different reciever? If so which one. Cheers

That KEF 1005.2 system is a great little system and is certainly reasonable at the price - the only thing being the Boston Acoustics Soundware XS system can be picked up for less than £299 now, so I'd want to hear both before purchasing.

On the receiver side, the Onkyo and the Pioneer VSX-920 would be worth looking into.
