Rega retailers are still at a premium: There's only one (Infidelity Hi-fi) that specialise in Rega in my area.

I've only one Rega stockist in town too. How many do you need?

More than one, given I live in an area covering Surrey and S. London. (Easy to reach and practical region). Much the same with Leema: SSAV no longer stock Leema gear. The only retailer is Unilet in New Malden.

Other Rega stockists in S. London and Surrey:

Oranges and Lemons - Wandsworth

PJ Hifi - Guildford

the arcam factory is in Huntington near were I live but a lot of there products are now made in China big work force

My understanding is that Arcam factory isn't any more: the company is now basically an office suite in a shared-occupancy building, and the products are either made in China by third-party manufacturers or, in the case of the '49 models, in the US plant of Arcam's parent company.

No, and neither does the company claim them to be so.
they used too and they were proud of it too but I see a lot of the big Hifi names are having there products made in China cheap labour so they can maximum profit I remember when I had an arcam 7se and it used to have a Union Jack sticker on the back of it

First finished, completed, done, and worked! veneered front in Chestnut Burl a Proffesor has ordered 5 channels 3 mono blocks one stereo unit all in Chestnut Burl. The most difficult part is where the two surfaces join. How to get a neat clean join good enough to send to a customer. Also I was not sure how the veneer would mill but it's fine. Not to everybody's taste but its somthing different and we have lots of choices of wood. And yes, this afternoon's adventure was to turn the dining room into a studio out comes the light tent and lamps I need to show you how big these bulbs are they are about a foot long or for any one youger than 30 about 30.48cm!

So did Amstrad stereos back in the 1970s. They were still s##t though.

I concur.

Wood fronted amps just don't do it for me. Sidecheeks, now we are talking.
Nor me! But I do love then even so. But it's a huge achievment for me and a taliking point a Signiture what other nutter is doing this and you can choose the wood you want! Given that somebody has ordered them with out any pics of finished one and so early means I may sell a few. Its certainly interesting to do.
