Hi everyone im currently looking to get some new speakers for my Denon 1911 avr. I have been to Best buy and had a listen to them both on the denon 1911 but i just dont have a clue which one to go for. The Jamos sound really nice and the Bostons sound nice but tinny. I looked at the the Reviews on the site and Jamo have 4 and Boston Acoustics have 5 Plus the Bostons are also £80 More.

That receiver can use better speakers than that.

You might want to look/listen to some Kef eggs and the B&W mini theatre if you want to stay with style speaker packages.
What's your budget?

Sounds like you've answered your own question. Your ears are telling you the Jamos are best, so go with them. Ratings be damned!

JasonKnight,

I used to own the Jamo and I have listened to the Boston Acoustics - I prefer the Jamo.

I found the Jamo a better integrated system with a much bigger soundstage.

Hi,

I too own the Jamo's and find that the front soundstage is very good but my room makes the rears sound detached.

Definetly take a look at the Cambridge Audio- Minx speakers, 8cm sq with a 21cm sq sub. They looked absolutely gorgeous when i saw them at my local Richer Sounds on tuesday. These have recieved very positive previews. Pictures don't do these justice they really are very shiny and aethetic in the 'flesh'.

Have Kefs too but, they are very smooth and may seem a little shallow compared to Jamos.
