Looks okay , but nothing you can't do in FB2K if you really wanted , and Foobar is free unlike J River.

If you don't like tinkering/customizing could be a quick win.

I have to beg to differ I'm afraid. For me it looks ten times better than Foobar.

Out the box maybe , but my point was only that Foobar can/could be customised to look exactly like that if you wanted. Some great skins are available for FB2K where someone else has done all the hard work. My lad doesn't like mine so he uses Tedgo's - The Dark One (google it, it's pretty good) Even without programming knowledge - A resonable computer literate bod could cobble together something pretty cool. Lots of code & support out there so you can get what you want. I understand people who just want it to work but I like the freedom and now dabling in coding which I never really did in my IT job.

At the end of the day it's your choice what suits best.

Fair play. Does Foobar offer the theatre view like J River? That looks very nice when playing songs, the album front cover on one side and then a changing, related (to the current album) ensemble of pics in the background across the whole screen.

By the way, the Jukebox edition of J River is free.

Prior to Foobar I've only used Media Monkey so don't know but it certainly could be setup, I waded straight into using Foobar with Columns UI thanks to PJ's guide so never really played with Foobar on Default or out the box. Now trying to do more by downloading other peoples skins and using/modifying their code to basically play with it and learn more.

Might download Jukebox then and have a look when got some time , schools off next week so won't be for a bit.
