I've ran, metaphorically, and practically, between Bathys wired, and Apple Pro 3, and it's VERY close.

Focal Bathy's a little warmer, wider, too. But after a few minutes the Apple pro 3s sound just as good in 80% of ways. I do have it on Apple Music, with a bias towards a bit more bass heavy.

Has anyone else hot desked between them?

Long term listening - the bathys just have that little bit more enjoyment. But considering the size reduction, of the apple version, im very impressed. I'd far better that than the huge bee hives others make that are meant to hang out of your ear

I can't possibly comment, I would never dream of putting Oral-B toothbrush cartridges inside my ear..............Ha ha ha just joking. 🤣

80% seems a little generous?
Again it's subjective, who am I to disagree.

Hopefully you'll get some qualified posters who's familiar with the Pro 3's and is able to make sense of it all but from my experience, the sound quality from ear plugs do sound dynamic but there's a lot of compression, not the openness and liquidity you get from good headphones.

Haha… no i stick to 80%. Only because I get a bit more lost in the Bathys - connected - they go a bit harder too. But if I switch back to the apple pro 3’s, they’re really nice. Also listening to Apple TV+ stuff on the apple pro 3’s is really decent. In some ways the Bathys and apple pro 3s, and I have 4s as sometimes i just dont want summit in my ear, is the perfect balance.

Like now Ellie Goulding came on and she has really warm vocals on flux, and I had to double check if I had the Bathys on or the pro 3s in.

Ok, so maybe the sound on this track was just better on the Bathys - but it goes to show how close it can be that ive kept switching back and forth to notice it

Ok so i switched back - again - and its that the pro 3’s sound a bit more compressed. They have parts as detailed, as the Bathys, those are the traits that make them sound similar. But there’s a tightness that the Bathys dont have im now noticing. I can only call that compression, as i know nothing about audio haha. I just like what I hear, and I do like both the Bathys and pro 3’s. Hell, I like my Apple HomePod pair, even though they aren’t quite as a god as both the the formentioned
