I've failed as a parent

As the title says, I believe I have failed as a parent. My daughter rushed down the stairs this morning and with a big grin on her face says "I've ordered my first vinyl"
I'm stood there thinking "no you've ordered your first record, don't get all fashionable calling it vinyl"
As I guessed it's a Taylor Swift record, just a single £15. I used to pay less than £1 for singles but that's another story.
I said to my daughter, "I do hope you're going to play it and you've haven't just bought it because it's vinyl and you're going to display it"
She assured me she is going to play it but honestly I think she has just jumped on the vinyl bandwagon. I've failed. 😂

My daughter showed me the video that goes with the Taylor Swift single she has ordered. TS was on The Graham Norton show and Domhnall Gleeson said he'd love to be in a TS video. A look came across her face that she had an idea. Low and behold every guest that was on that episode of The Graham Norton show and Graham himself are in the video. At the end of the video they play those few seconds of the Graham Norton show.

The fact my daughter is a swifty is not the problem, she even went to one of the Liverpool dates of the Eras Tour. It's the fact I feel she's bought this single because it's trendy vinyl. If she plays it I won't be bothered. Although here in lies a fresh problem. It arrived yesterday and she asked me to play it for her as she has no clue and as I lifted the lid on my rega I noticed the stylus hanging down at a very strange angle😢. A small fortune about to be spent on a new cartridge I believe.

She's not a youngster. She's always used my hifi with CD's just never used the turntable and knowing how delicate they are she didn't want to do it. 🤣
