It has a DAC.....It ain’t a DAC.
It is a Bluetooth receiver.
It ain’t a DAC.
It is a Bluetooth receiver.
It clearly states it is a USB dac and that appears to be the only inputAs others have pointed out. It doesn't look like its primary use is as a DAC, its a Bluetooth receiver. Not sure how much use it would be as a DAC as the optical and coaxal are listed as outputs not inputs!

True, however I was referring to its physical sockets, as was the member to whom I was replying .....Two technically, if you include Bluetooth
Yeah, to me it's an odd thing. You can use it as a DAC I. A computer system though. As others have pointed out. It doesn't look like its primary use is as a DAC, its a Bluetooth receiver. Not sure how much use it would be as a DAC as the optical and coaxal are listed as outputs not inputs!
OK, I will rephrase to say: It has limited use as a DAC due to limited inputs. It clearly states it is a USB dac and that appears to be the only input
If it's a convertor it has, obviously a DAC.OK, I will rephrase to say: It has limited use as a DAC due to limited inputs.
You can only use the USB input with a source that is also providing power to the device.
I have to disagree that it "clearly states" it is a USB dac." In fact it seems to bend over backwards to avoid the title DAC. They call it "USB/Bluetooth Audio Receiver Converter" Even the paragraph that names the DAC chip avoids saying DAC instead going for "Superior Audio Decoding" and "Featuring Cirrus Logic's latest audio decoding chip"
Yes correct. It can work as a normal DAC with USB input though. All BT receivers have built in DAC otherwise they wouldn’t work.
BT transmits singal in digital format only.
