My wife was a properly qualified chef and, NHS trained dietitian and nutritionist. She says no, too much sugar and oil added to it.

I'm under no illusion that they're healthy.
Trouble is, a mate's wife gets rid of things as soon as they're past their best before dates.
They gave me 3 boxes of them - like a greedy bastard, I've been eating 2 or 3 bowls at a time (to try the 3 varieties)- 2 boxes left.

I eat porridge every other day - and have done for decades - without fail.
Hopefully the government will slam a sugar duty on anything that involves adding that amount of sugar into what are, essentially, healthy cereal based breakfast commodities until messed with.......I'm under no illusion that they're healthy.
Trouble is, a mate's wife gets rid of things as soon as they're past their best before dates.
They gave me 3 boxes of them - like a greedy bastard, I've been eating 2 or 3 bowls at a time (to try the 3 varieties)- 2 boxes left.

"bad habits are hard to shift"...... For people that spend two days on the toilet???Cereal isn’t healthy full-stop. Anything that has to be fortified with vitamins kinda gives it away.
My days of being worried about those things are long gone. 20 years of Crohn’s disease & finally on meds that mean I can eat a pizza & not spend two days on the toilet meant I’ve not looked back. Incidentally I’m definitely eating too much saturated fat & processed crap, even if my calories are kept in check. I should sort it, but bad habits are hard to shift.

Exactly. It's the only way of forcing some companies to make what they do in a better way - and given that the NHS spends a fortune on obesity-related treatments, that's in all our best interests. I love oats too.I always make a bowl of oats & water to leave overnight for breakfast when I have boxing training in the mornings*.
For some reason I could eat plain oats all day, every day.
*It’s been at least six months since I last stepped foot in the boxing gym
I am not sure about eating porridge in the hot weather but I will try it and some stage and buy some porridge next time we are food shopping.I haven't tried the strawberry version - but I can understand how you can get through so much.
But a warning sign should be the powdery stuff when you reach the bottom of the bag - it must be 95% sugar.
Since I've recently eaten the honey and nuts, flame raisin and dark chocolate versions - all in the same half hour 🤨 - I'm the last person to advise BUT:
Try to do yourself a big favour and massively limit the Jordans (and anything as sweet) intake.

OK, nowhere near as appealing taste wise - you can add a little bit of sugar though.
That 5kg cost me £10.
At £3.60 for 500g, the equivalent amount of Jordans = £36.
Their Jordan Mill and cereal factory in Broom not far from me. Sometimes I can smell the cooked cereal in the evening air.I'm under no illusion that they're healthy.

I rather pop over the Jordans Mill shop and buy freshly processed muesli or oats in polythene packaging than buy the same in branded boxes found in supermarkets.
