Question is the Marantz PM6007 no longer produced ?

I *think* it was simply some minor sound tuning - nothing to get excited about - and the PM6006 sold in Europe was the global model. These things really are nothing to get excited about. This range of amps has been decent entry-level stuff for years, but nothing more than that, and given the way things have changed, I think Harman (now owners of Marantz and Denon) will likely call time on the range. Like nopiano, I'm not representing Marantz, but making suppositions based on some understanding and long term knowledge of the market.
hi
well so even in usa there is the global version , i have never found the uk version in France Italy and Germany

i guess the next version will fix the noise in the digital output
i think present in pm6006 and in the 6007

I looked up the release dates of the last few iterations, according to Mr Google:

PM/CD6004 Aug 2011
PM/CD 6005 Sept 2013
PM/CD 6006 May 2016
PM/CD 6007 Aug 2020

So at least timewise due for a change although I'm sure many other factors may influence this.
But how much different do they sound ?

Shouldn't a new model sound better than the old one ? (not just different)

I think these ‘specials’ are a thing of the past. The skilled designer and global representative of Marantz, Ken Ishiwata, famously tweaked a few components on discontinued CD player stock, rather than flog them at bargain prices. A few reviewers declared them the second coming, so Marantz added £100 and they flew off the shelves. The Special Edition was born!

I’m sure Dr Google has the details, just a click away.
