Hi all. I'm have a decent Sony TV, HDR, Dolby etc but when watching older programmes i cant find anywhere that streams them so am forced to buy Blu Ray and DVD still. My blu ray plyer is a Sony BDP S360. I Want to purchase an old box set WKRP Cincinnati which as far as i can see is a region 1 dvd. I cant see for sure whether it will play on my blu ray and looking to make my blu ray region free seems to have some risks. Does anybody know whether i will be able to play the dvd series and if not how easy is it to make the player region free?

DVD yes, with a special remote (Plenty on eBay) Blu-Ray requires a hardware modification, it is explained here Multiregional DVD

Many thanks for this Bill. I didnt find this when searching but it mentions my player and a £15 cost for the remote. Seems por economy to buy it and only use it once, its a shame that someone doesnt offer a rental service for the remote!!
