I didn’t find any news like that, only news that it is on the way this year and Samsung made a big fuss at CES this month. Where did you find those reports?

Interesting.... we will have to wait and see. I wonder what Samsung will do with the two million OLED panels they have ordered? 🙂
It’s my understanding they will just have LG OLED TVs as Samsung OLED TVs not QD-OLED TVs.

It looks like the prices for the 34-inch ultra-wide QD-OLEDs was not a fluke, since even the 55-inch and 65-inch Samsung QD-OLED TVs appear to be priced lower than anticipated. According to the Amazon leak, Samsung's new TVs will be priced even lower than LG's C2 OLEDs.

Picture quality, dynamic metadata etc....
I've bought over 200 films from Apple with Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos so for me it's a necessary requirement.
