Is marantz 6004 a power wize choise for MA bx2

Well just whant to know is marantz 6004 powerful enough to run MA bx2 with no possible risk for the system and the speakers or you will offer me something else. I am planning tobuse them in living room about 34 square meters.

The MA BX2 are quite sensitive so should be OK, however that is quite a large room, so depends how loud you want to play the music, for low to medium it should be OK, for louder I look at more powerful amps but they tend to be more expensive. Can you do a demo? Most demo rooms seem to be around 30 sm.

you could try a yamaha as 500 very good amp for the money and 85 watts on tap ...good prices to be had too

Here in my town i find only one shop with marantz 6004 and bostan a26 speakers that i think have similar specs. So i am planning to hear this combination. Maybe the feeling will be the same. I really cant get why for the same price there are 5.1 7.1 amp with 2x 120w but i gess that the quality of the music is much better with hifi amps. I almost never listen music loud only when it is a party time .

I think that 5.1 or 7.1 amps are measured differently and geneerally they have much more distortion than 2.0 hifi amps. A few bods on here use 5.1 amps so if that what suits you then try them as well.

I prefer to in vest in better quality sound so thats why i am asking will marantz 6004 will be a good choise with this speakers. In you tube there alot of movies with this combination but cant feel is it power wise combination. Yamaha as500 has more power but it seems that lots of people dont like diffrent things in it. It is a hard choice to be honest. Maybe the best way to resolve this topic will be to go in the shop and try marantz 6004 and Boston A26. Thank you for all your answers
