Hi, i've always left my sub on auto standby mode but it doesn't always turn on unless it's a DD HD broadcast running through the amp?

Is it safe to always leave it turned on? and is it gonna use loads of power?

cheers in advance Pete

I had a similar problem with a MS 309 sub. The auto worked fine for DVD/BR but with TV on Dolby Prologic 11, it didn't come on unless the volume was high. I bought a remote controlled mains socket and pluged it into that and left it in the on position. It's a shame though that most of theses remote controlled mains sockers are RF so can't be added to the Harmony universal remotes. Still, as the Harmony condensed all the AV related remotes to one, I still only have two remotes active.

I leave my Yamaha sub turned on all the time while my MS sub is on standby - no issues.
