I have a Panasonic 42in full HD TV (85B) Onkyo 875, B&W 684 front speakers, DS3 rears and an MA RSW12 Sub, I don’t think I need better than the Panasonic DMP-BD55 model Blu-Ray player but someone was trying to tell me the other day that I do. What do you think?

the panasonic is fine. ive bought cheap and am gonna wait untill next year to buy a top end machine when many more machines are out and prices are falling. ive got a similar / slighter higher spec system than you (apart from the tv, i have an 80) and i am making do with the 35 and its great for now.

Yep, im with Gander on this one, I've got a PS3 but an gonna pick up a standalone and from reading the recent Ultimate Guide to BluRay i gonna go with the BD35 as theres not much between them ( the BD55)............except a few quid for more BluRay's
