iPod Touch 32GB - how can I tell if it the one with the software update??

Hi

Having recently bought a 32GB iPod touch at Dixons Duty Free at Gatwick (it was £280 - £5 cheaper than I had seen it anywhere else on the net), I have suddenly realised that it may not be the newer one with the software update included - how can I find out if this is the case without opening the package (in case I need to take it back).

hi John,

If you've just bought the Touch you're within the 90-day free tech support period. I'd therefore phone Apple (contact details for tech support here) and read them the serial number of your iPod (which should be visible through the packaging) and ask them to confirm which release batch will be included.

Many thanks - have called them and they confirmed it is the most updated version - happy days!
