Ipod Remote Control

I've just bought a new 120Gb Classic and am very pleased with it. Only slight annoyance is having to get the player out of my bag/pocket each time I want to change rtack/ adjust volume etc. I'm therefore in the market for a remote control for it so was hoping someone might be able to advise on a good one.

Only real requirement is to be able to control the player. An FM radio would be a nice-to-have but is not really required. The Apple Radio remote is the obvious candidate but its only available in white which I don't like. Its also a bit over-priced and seems liable to fall apart quickly based on reviews I've read.

Any suggestions for good alternatives (ideally in black)?

The Roberts Robi - you can read the review here - is a neat alternative definitely worth a punt. Check with Roberts that they've fixed earlier compatibility issues with the Classic (sure I read somewhere that it was sorted, but worth checking with the new models).

Thanks Claire. Had seen that and to be honest been put off by both the price and compatibility issues. As quite a bit of my commute is on the tube it really is just a nice simple remote that I need so this one would be overkill (plus it looks a bit like a kids toy!).

Any other suggestions?

Well, we haven't tested it, but this could be a bargain.

I know Monster do a wireless remote, too, but I think that's around £50....

Looks almost ideal (even if the bluetooth phone connections isn't needed). Unfortunately it isn't compatible with the classic and the Gear4 website no-longer lists this product so no idea if a new version is on its way.
