Hi, I was just wondering if anybody could tell me when What Hifi will be doing a review on the new 120GB iPod? Sorry if this has been asked on the forums before but I haven't had time to look through them.

We should be putting a review up on the site this week. Or maybe early next week, if we don't get out from under this mountain of Awards products in time. Soon, anyhow. Soon.

I`m getting an ipod classic 120gb in a couple of weeks. I an going to put all my cd`s on it and then sell the cd`s but i was told not to sell the cd`s as i will need proof that i bought the albums instead of illegally downloaded onto the ipod. Is this true.

Got a new 120Gb Classic last week and very pleased with it. Sound quality doesn't blow me away but is more than acceptable with some decent headphones. Convenience of having all my music with me is great though.

As for copying all your CDs and then sellign them I think this is probably a bit dodgy from a legal point of view as it isn't that different to illegally downloading them. Effectively once you have got rid of the CDs then you have lots of music on your player for which you don't own the CDs which would be the same situation as if you had illegally downloaded them.

Can't see anyone ever finding out so not an issue if your morals allow! Don't forget to back all your music up somewhere though!

It's illegal to put your CDs on the iPod in the first place (in the UK), but everybody does it anyway. To put your CDs on the iPod and then sell them would be both illegal aaaaand immoral (IMO).

Yep. If the music plod came round and asked about the choons on your iPod, if you have all the CDs in a box somewhere they will most likely leave you alone.

If you have no CDs at all, then they are likely to want to see your iTunes account. If that's empty, expect a call from the BPI's legal team...

To be perfectly honest the chances of the above happening are rather rare. Just don't go getting them excited by using filesharing websites / torrents etc...

Me? Everything that is on my iPod is also on CD/Vinyl back at my house. I believe that if I like an album enough to warrant putting it on my pod, then I like it enough to purchase it.

Review of the new Apple iPod Classic is now online here.

And BTW, thanks SO much, Fatboyslimfast, for that Bucks Fizz tune now rattling around my head

I think you'll find that 'Whassa Marrer You' was actually Joe Dolce, most famous for keeping Ultravox's Vienna off the top spot. And he was from Stourbridge or somewhere
