I recently picked up an iPhone 3G S, so im still messing around with the settings/apps however ive noticed some very basic settings missing, or im missing them...

1) I have the "Lock Keypad" to the lowest setting- lock after 1 minute, however i cannot find how to lock the phone immediatley after a call, theres been a few times when i finished a call and put the phone into my pocket only to find ive accidentially rang unintentionally, due to the touch screen...

2) Theres no delete option in iPod, so every time i want to delete a track/album i have to connect to my laptop and Sync in iTunes...

3) No zoom option on the camera...

4) When i set the alarm clock the phone has to be turned on!! I've been late twice because of this

5) Dont get a User Manual with the phone, so its a Google every time im looking to see how something works...

Now these may be irrevelant to some users but i thought these basics would be included with such a high profile phone?

Like i said im still in the early stages of finding out how things work, so im open to correction if im wrong on any of the above, any tips/advice much appreciated....

Cheers..

1) After the call, press the silver button on the top. This locks it.

2) Not something I have looked into but I have just tried and I cannot find a delete function. Maybe iTunes is the only way...

3) There is no zoom option although I think there is an App that sort of works....

4) I have never turned my phone off once the alarm is set. Just keep it on?....

5) Think you have to use the itunes help section for anything not covered in the quick start booklet.

The battery life is not great, as you may know, and i use it quiet alot during the day- it's my business/personal phone now, so i like to have full battery going out on the road........best buy a car charger

It's Apple's belief that everything they make is so user friendly you don't need a manual ...

They even have the nerve to sell 3rd party manuals on their website!

You could try something like this (or one of the For Dummies books).
