I wonder how accurate the decibel apps are. I could do a test as I have an accurate dB meter.

Not very original but the Remote app is amazing. As long as you set up the iphone on your wireless network at home, you can remotely control itunes using your iphone. Very useful for me.

I have had my iphone 3GS since it was released in June. I have the following applications:

Bloomberg

Chess

FS5 Hockey

Millionaire Tycoon

Slime Ball

Backbreaker lite

Virtual pool lite

Google earth

tube map

Darts lite

Insider Trader lite

Shazam

None of which I use particularly often. I mainly use my iphone as a telephone, for music, texting, email and web browsing.

9 months of intensive use and still in love with my 3GS... I coudn't live without Bejeweled 2. Sad but true... Also extremely useful (and saves me from having to buy their controller) is the Sonos app.

The apps I use the most often: AccuWeather , ebay, Tweedeck, Football Scores Centre (Sky Sports), Sky News, Tube Map, Color Leap (photo 'enhancing' app), Engadget, RBS...

For all iphone and touch users you should checkout and download "moodagent" it is excellent

it scans all the music on your devise and places each track into separate categories. You can then decide what type of playlist you want depending on your mood (tempo, agressive, joy, tender and sensual) using a slider scale. It is so easy to use and change your preferences on the go.

its free at the minute - i cant recomend it enough

I esentially got the iPod Touch (I know you're talking iPhone here) for iPeng and it's amazing just for that, everything else is just a bonus...... a big bonus indeed!

I'm looking for an app to stream music from my MyBook NAS drive (I believe it has iTunes server running on it if that makes a difference) to my Philips Streamium NP1100, there seem to be a few choices (such as SongBook and media:connect) but would like to know if anyone can offer a recommendation on any of them?

Call me crazy, but i spent £18 on a Golfshot GPS app, but i have to say, it works an absolute treat. Built-in scorecard, thousands of courses, accurate yardage including aerial view of the hole and you can track how far you hit the ball. Don't leave for the course without it!
