iPhone 15 and older BT device

Since getting an iPhone 15, I can no longer pair it to my 6 year old B&W BT speaker. Would this be something to do with newer iPhones not supporting “vintage” BT devices like mine? Many thanks.

BT is backwards compatible so in theory it should work.

A quick google suggests you may need to delete the phone profile from the B&W speaker and then re-connect. Seems to be an issue if you copy all the data/settings over from the old phone to the new phone. Main issue is that that phone ‘name’ remains the same and as this is a different device it causes a conflict. Re-naming the phone may achieve the same result.

Also, make sure the speaker is not connected simultaneously to any other nearby device. Agree that pairing and connecting to any single device should not be an issue because of the speaker's advanced age 😉.
