I have just hooked my new surround sound system and want to mute the TV volume, is there a way to mute the internal speaker or do I just turn the volume down to the bottom ?

Is the surround system a Panasonic as well?

If so I would have thought Viera Link would provide automatic muting of the TV speakers when the surround sound is turned on (as happens with Bravia Theatre Sync on the Sony gear).

Oh, sorry, my suggestion is pretty useless then. LOL!!

In that case, simply muting the TV speakers is the way forward. A small inconvenience for the superior performance your Denon/KEF combo will give over a one-box HT system.
