intermittent sound when watching sky + HD

Hi

For a few weeks i have had a sound issue. when i am watching TV the sound cuts off for about a second then comes back on again, the picture carries on as normal.

This started off happening every now and again but now it happening 5 to 10 times a minute.

i have a Sony 55hx923 TV, onkyo tx-nr609 AV receiver, sky + HD 1tb.

it cant be my TV as i have removed the sound stand, it cant be my Av receiver as this problem does not happen when watching a blu-ray or playing a games conceal

therefore it can only be a sky problem?? i think??
any help would be great

1) Try changing the HDMI port......connect you Sky box to the port occupied by your blu ray player or any other HDMI input in your receiver. Are you still getting the problem? If yes,

2) Try changing the HDMI cable. Is the problem still persistent?

Live? Replay/pause? Recorded? Check exactly where the fault occurs. May be the box or lnb. How is the signal strength/quality?
