Just got a NAD C352 amp and a matching CD on the way - use MA BR2 Speakers

( have to say the amp is stunning and I can see why people are NAD MAD ! Simply stunning ! )

As a fantatical e bayer always looking for a bargain I have got -

Cambridge Audio Silver spirit interconnects ( silver ones ) - paid 99p

Chord Chrimson plus - 25.00

Cambridge pacific ( yellow colour ) 11.00

Really happ with all these using an old Denon CD player with the amp and the chord ones seem to just pip the audio silver with pacific last.

Anybody any advice - need to raise some funds so one pair has to go and what should they fetch ?

Whilst at it - using QED aniversary cable - on a budget - what would suit the Nad amp and speakers ?

Any advice really welcome

Had same electronics on b&w 602s3. IC I was using was VDH The Name, and swap from qed aniversary to chord silvercreen speaker cable did tame top end and added some bass weight also so would recommend it highly.

Interconnects - Chord Crimson OR Black Rhodium Prelude
Speaker cable - Chord Carnival Silverscreen or QED Revelation

I'd stick to the Chord cabloe though; it'll work very well between your NAD and M/A combo

Sorry to use this topic, Dan, was just wondering whether you tryed the Merlin Bach interconnects when you were demoing?

Chord always seems to do very well with the likes of NAD, Arcam and Rotel so I dont think you can go wrong

I'm currently waiting for the arrival of some Chord Carnival Silverscreen as I want to demo it against my QED Revelation speaker cable to see what the sound differences are so I'll let you know my findings when i'm done

Forgot to say as well; one of the best things you can do with your speakers is to remove the speaker cable/terminal jumper bars that connect the LF to the HF and replace them with either a small length of the speaker cable you've bought or the likes of Chords Signature Speaker Cable jumpers (which I use)

Makes hell of a difference to the sound, for the better!

Also; get some atabites for your speaker stands and weigh them down. Helps with better, deeper & tauter bass and with less resonance

Dont shoot me for asking this !

To save money -

if one speaker is 1 m away and the other 4m away from my amp -

would you buy 2 x 4 cables or 1 x 1 and 1 x 4 ?

Cheers
