Improvement or not

Hi.At the moment I have a SONY CDP-XE370 Compact Disc Player and was wondering that if I repaced this with a MARANTZ CD-63 would you think that the Marantz would sound better.Thanks

That depends on the rest of your system - if it is revealing enough to really benefit from a change of source.

Also, why not go for the newer (and probably better) Marantz CD6004?

Hi.And thanks. My system is as follows Sony TA-FE570 amp and Sony CDP-XE570 cd player and a pair of Mission 701 speakers..I have had it for a few years now it wahs all 5 star rated at the time by what.I am sure that things have moved on quite alot over the years.Summing up what would you think could be the weakest link in my system I am torn between changing the CDP or speakers I mostly listen to cds and I am listening to music as I write through a Bluetooth streamer connected to the Aux imput via a cable and streaming from my Ipod.Thanks

I recently replaced my Sony CDP XE900E with the Marantz CD6004 and it is truly a night & day improvement, a much better sound all round than the Sony. I highly recommend it. Especially as it's already being sold for £30 less than I paid for it!
