If you were to choose between a Onkyo TX-NR717 or a Pioneer SC 2022, which would you choose and why?

I currently have a broken Yamaha RX-V1065. I'd say the sound quality was very good although dialogue often gets lost in the mix.

I need pre outs so my options are limited.

I have read that these to brands tend to sound brighter than Yamaha and Denon.

I'm torn, does the Pioneer sound better than the Onkyo? - Im not concerned with music as i've got my Cyrus kit for that - this is about movie sound.

Couldn't get the Pioneer so I've gone for the Onkyo. £350 with an email voucher from RIchersounds!

It was potentially going to cost that much to fix my Yamaha - I'm sure somebody somewhere will be able to get it sorted or not mind the hiss!!

This will make a good stop gap until I'm ready to jump on the 4K bandwagen :beer:
