Question Ideal length of an album?

Ideal length?....hmmm. If the album is good it doesn't really matter to me how long it is. Just using Pink Floyd as an example I can sit through 40 minutes of Animals or just as easily sit through 80 minutes of The Wall if I'm in the mood.

I guess you're right. However we're talking about as good as it gets. What about the rest?
My whole early listening life was shaped by vinyl, so I can't help but think of an album as being 40ish minutes, or so, long. Double albums 80 or so. And even now with CDs and digital albums, I find it odd when albums are longer. I think 43 minutes.
