Icon Audio ST40 MKIIIm or ST40i?

I want to buy the Icon Audio ST40 MKIIIm amplifier when I have the money, £1700.00 new.

I could buy an ST40i for around £500.00.

This could be a stop gap or permanent, depending on how much better the newer version is.

Is it worth it, or should I just wait till I can afford the new one?

Believe someone on here replaced their Icon for a Croft Int. thought it was better for much lower price.
