I wonder why my hifi setup only works with my current rca cables?

My setup is as follows: Audio Technica LP5/Qed Audio 40 rca cables to Rega fono mm mk3 riaa/Kimber silver streak rca cables to Cambridge Audio CXA60 integrated amp. This setup works well with no noise. Although if I switch the Rca cables, Turntable/Kimber rca/riaa/qed rca/amp It produces a loud humming noise. I have tried to use other cables. Same result. Yesterday I tried with two sets of Audioquest Golden gate Rca´s. Same result. How can that be?

My first combination with qed rca from turntable and kimber rca from riaa to amp works just fine. And grounding wire runs from turntable to riaa.
Two new sets of audioquest rca should do the job, but no it does not

As there are no performance gains to be had with new phono cables the cure is simple. Use the old ones. I found something similar when I used some bright blue ones (can't remember the make, they were Richer Sounds freebies). Hummed like the clappers on the turntable, OK everywhere else. I useed some red and whites, works great with no hum.
