Hi I currently run everything - Sky /Blu Ray/ Xbox through my Denon AVR2808 amp with HDMI 1.3a into my Hitachi 42" Plasma screen. I now want to replace my Hitachi Plasma screen for a new Philips LED 3D ready TV. Will I need to replace my AV amp to run 3D through HDMI from Sky / 3D DVD player to my TV ?

For Sky 3D, no; for 3D Blu-ray possibly yes, although an alternative is to buy a 3D Blu-ray player with twin HDMI outputs - so one carries video straight to the TV, the other audio to the Denon -, or a 3D player with multichannel analogue outputs, and feed the sound into the receiver that way while the HDMI takes video straight to the TV.

One slight probelm with that Andrew - I have 1 long HDMI cable buried in the wall from my Denon to my TV, using my amp as a video switcher, If the 2808 cannot handle the video signal perhaps its a valid enough excuse to the wife for something from the Denon '11 range, which of this range do you think would be most appropriate to power a DC6 signature revolution 5:1 setup
