I Tunes losing music

I Tunes keeps losing the path to the music folder for no apparent reason. I correct it by selecting "add folder to library". This sorts it but only for a short while.

It is now becoming a pain as it takes time to pull in all the tracks and when my ipod classic is attached it has to be re-synced every time.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Unusual. What's the path to the music folder in Edit/Preferences/Advanced/iTunes Music Folder Location?

Edit>Preferences>Advanced>Change and browse to the itunes folder.

Often caused if you store your itunes library on an external hard disk which you boot after you've booted itunes.

Music folder is not on an external drive and the path to the music is: C:UsersWarranMusiciTunesiTunes Music.

I will try your suggestions but if you think of anything else....

If your music is in the designated itunes folder then there is no way itunes should be losing the link. Have a look here;

and search under your operating system to see if anyone else has had the same problem. However, the usual recommendation for such problmes is to download a new version, or if you have already got that unistall and install. However (again) I tried that recently for a problem with itunes and it did not fix it.

Already running the latest itunes and uninstalled and re-installed - didn't help.
