Hello,

I have just bought an old acoustic energy aego p5 system but I’m not sure what is the best way to connect the audio to my Panasonic blu-ray player (dmp-bd35). The Aego p5 is quite an old system and it only supports audio via analogue rca or optical digital. I know the Panasonic can decode the hd audio channels but is it possible through this system? If not can some one tell me what is and what setting the bitstream/pcm should be set to on the Panasonic? Thanks

From memory the analogue inputs are stereo rather than multichannel. If this is the case only options is optical/coax digital. Unfortunately this means you won't have lossless HD audio as the player will use the lossy version.

hi thanks for that, but do you set the bitstream to pcm or leave it as it is? cheers
