What you don't already.....you must be the only one!

Fair point brittondave - my home laptop acquired a virus earlier in the week and now blu screens and reboots itself every time I log in to my user name. I have neither the patience, time, or inclination to fix it. So annoying. I'll be blatting it and starting again I think.

Last time I got the blue screen of death on a laptop I ran over it in a 9 tonne Manitou teleloader forklift truck.

I never got the blue screen again.

I like your style, Brittondave!

Actually, what annoys me most is computer hackers sitting at a terminal going "tap tap tap tap tap (really fast and actually typing jdhdodjsifkdmdkdidkdkdodldo) OK I'm into the Pentagon Mainframe".

Yeah that really gets on my ...............although perhaps thats how you actually get in, by typing random letters as fast as possible so as to confuse said main frame.

Are we talking War Games, Patriot Games, Ferris Bueller, Lethal Weapon 5...

The one in the sitting room is now a Sony KDL-32NX503.

I think Hackers has to take the biscuit, with perhaps Swordfish a close second - the montage of Hugh Jackman building his "hydra" is particularly amusing. At least in War Games it takes him a few weeks to hack into the company (albeit with a 6 character password in the end...

By a million to one chance, you've discovered that I used the password 'jdhdodjsifkdmdkdidkdkdodldo' when I programmed all of the U.S Military's systems.... D'oh!

On an unrelated matter. A 32" in the lounge John? Really?

im currently watching "the fellowship of the ring" . when gandolph leaps of sarumans tower onto the eagle he doesnt have his staff, but he has it later in the film? how did he get it back? or is that a movie gaff? surely not..

Chebby, that's right up there with my brother, a conservation scientist, who will listen to bird or insect sounds in a film then proclaim that it couldn't possibly have been filmed where they were claiming it is. I reckon he makes it up half the time.

Never watch Day of the Jackal - set in '63, filmed in '73 - with a car-bore in the room: "Ah, I think you'll find that's a Ford Capri, which wasn't launched 'til 1969, and there's a ..."

Nice one, I want to do that to my printer right now, darned thing refuses to pick up paper most of the time, then jams when it does. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.

I think Jason Stathams character in the Bank Job must have been a time traveller as at one point in the film at the station i think he looks at his watch which is a TAG Heuer Steve McQueen Monaco but it looks to me like the CW2113 version introduced in 2003. It would need to be a Monaco 1533 to be authentic.

Judging from the preceding posts I would say you're not alone Chebby. I'm guilty too though, my main area of dorxpertise seems to be firearms although I've been known to point out continuity errors too.

Yep, I'm a geek! Just been watching the excelleent LRDG movie "Sea of Sand" and couldn't help but notice that the German soldiers are using British weapons.
