Question I have decided to add a pair of floorstanding speakers to my setup and need help choosing?

Now with me wanting a 2.1 setup I am open to all possibilities brand wise, I am prepared to be patient to get the right ones at the right price too.

Yep, the sub is on. I think I will have to do another setup of the speakers for just 2.1 or will stereo be sufficient?

I dont have any knowledge of that Amp .I would read the instructions for your Amp to make sure you have it set up correctly for 2.1

I was using my system as a 2.1 setup now yesterday and for DVD and Blu-ray it was really good and for Sky and YouTube too. I think I prefer using the Bose Wave System for Apple Music though, so that is what I am going to do for a year or so now, and then see how I am doing whether to buy some floorstanding speakers then and keep an eye on the price of them. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.

So basically um I would like to 2 B&W floorstanding speakers to my setup and go with either a 5.1 setup or a 7.1 setup. I would like the floorstanders to add more depth to my music because I figure that’s where I am currently lacking. My left and right I have decided are my weakest link currently.

So fire away with options and remember I like a bargain…

What are your current speakers? You need to consider timber matching. While not as noticeable for rear and side speakers you need your centre and front speakers to match.

Damn, and I was going to suggest he buy my current set-up of Quad surround and centre and subwoofer all in lovely Birds Eye Maple........
