I bought Rega Planar Plus One and connected to my Onkyo A9155. It has a loud hum and disortion when connected.
Is it because there isn't a ground? Some people don't seem to have any issues at all.
It seems like a common issue but there are different solutions.

It is grounded through of the signal cables so don't think it is that.
admittedly it might be better if it had a seperate ground wire.
Question: why did you buy a turntable that has a phono preamplifier when your Onkyo already has one but in?
have you forgotten to switch the preamplifier off on the turntable?....... Forget that it doesn't look like you can switch it off. Typical Reg a :)
Try connecting it as it is to the CD input on your Onkyo.

Where would I connect the cd though?
