How much weight can I put on the platter?

A real beginner's question, and I don't want to do anything wrong, of course.

I have an Argon Audio TT4mk2. After setup, I'd also like to check the wow/flutter with the RPM app on my iPhone.
Now the question is: I assume I can simply place this total weight on the turntable without causing damage? My iPhone (17 Pro Max) with its case weighs just over 300 grams. The Argon's platter weighs 1.7 kilos and is belt-driven.

Apologies for this perhaps silly or ridiculous question, but how much weight can you actually place on such a turntable?

That would depend on the quality of the bearing. I very much doubt the weight of an iPhone is going to cause any issues as some heavy weight LPs are produced and they aren't going to cause issues. Nor are heavy stabliser pucks since your turntable is not a spring suspended type.
Not sure why or indeed how accurate wow and flutter readings are going to be on an iPhone. Also not sure why you would need to know.
