How long does it take to run-in a new speaker?

... with regards to running new speakers in I do believe they change over a period of time, perhaps also as a result of cone surrounds becoming pliable, but if you have serious reservations when hearing them new I somehow doubt you'll get over all of them.

what is with this pressumption that people enjoy distortion? never heard this before... where doe this distortion come from and how does it manifest itself in the sound you hear?
