how do I stop getting email notifications?

I've tried changing the setting but my inbox keeps getting flooded with WHF emails and it's really annoying! Why is this a default setting it's mental.

Sometimes it can take a little while for it to take effect - no idea why - if you're still getting them tomorrow let me know and I'll flag it up for site admin.

I noticed at the bottom of the emails there's a bit to unsubscribe so hopefully that works.
