how do i setup the db?hz on my Jamo A102HCS5 sub

I have 3 knobs 1st level 2nd cut off 3rd phase all with db and hz respectively going up and right wat are thy for and how do i tweak them to get thebest sound ?

I put the phase totally to one side, the highest LPF, and the level in the middle and then let the Onkyo 605 automatic set up do the rest. Only problem I'm having at the moment is the "automatic" engaging of the sub doesn't seem to be working and I have to leave it on permanently.

Try it with the phase set to 0 at first. Highest LPF is correct - the crossover in the receiver is doing all the work.

The auto-sensing power on/off works by detecting the signal level coming from the receiver, so for initial set-up put the power switch in the always on position, and turn the level control on the sub down a bit more to force the receiver to deliver a higher signal level, which should then trigger the sub out of standby more reliably. Once the set-up is done, switch the sub over to automatic on/off and you should be fine.

With a tape measure and sound pressure level meter, or by eye and ear!
