How do i set the clock??

I've just bought a 120gb classic ipod, but can't see how to set the clock... Obviously you only get a quick start guide on how to use the music (typical) but it only lets me get as far as setting the city and time zone... I can't get any further no matter what buttons i press.... No option for 12 or 24 hour clock, or even a minute and hour selector as far as i can see... Why not?? Please help it's driving me mad!
