How Are Earphones Tested by WHF/

Just a quick question to the WHF Team: what methods and equipment/sources do you use when testing earphones for review?

We plug them into a selection of portable devices such as MP3 players, tablets and laptops, and also a headphone amp connected to a proper hi-fi source.

We use a mix of types of music (pop, rock, classical), and several members of the team will listen to each pair. All headphones are fully run in before testing.

Thanks for the response Andy. What do you consider to be a suitable 'run in' period? I realise this can vary, and is open to debate, but generally speaking what do the WHF Team aim for?
