Hi,
I was on here about a year ago looking for speakers, but since then have moved, so never got round to it.
Now I'm settled, I'm thinking about getting some new speakers for my Sonos.
I have the Sonos, an MF X-150 amp, and some speaker stands, and some old, worthless speakers.
Should I:
A - sell the amp (for hopefully about £400), and buy some AVI ADM9.1 for use on the stands? Total cost about £700.
B - Buy some reduced Tannoy DC4T floorstanders? Total cost £500.
C - Something else entirely.
I'm currently liking option B, because it's cheaper. 😉
My main buying factors are:
Price. (I have my X-150 on constantly, though, so the Sonos can use it - so how much electricity will I save with the AVIs digital amp?)
The speakers have to sound best at low or medium volumes. (And high too, on occasion!)
The speakers will be up against a back wall.
They have to be able to handle all types of music.
The speakers have to look nice and discreet.
Thanks in advance!
