I have a tiny problem, since I am still living the student life and have exams I can't go out and get a job. I have no source of income. But my birthday is coming up and I've been buging my parents for a cinema system. Firstly I thought of waiting and saving to buy a seperate amp and speaker system but then I realised with my current situation I could be waiting years.

Anyway, I have decided to go the cheap and nasty all in one route. But I woundered if any of you out there have gone this route and found yourselves pleasently surprised.
At the moment I have seen, but not heard the sony Dav-Dz560 in comet for £300 as well as this I invested in a which complete guide and found the JVC TH-D5 with an esstimated price of £245. My parents are willing to spend a maximum of £300.

What I currently have is a 42LG3000 and a ps3, I would use the system for primarily watching films, tv and gaming but that's it. I don't use it for music.
However, my mum, had banned me or my dad from mounting our tv, or ceiling mounting our projecter or even putting up a projector screen so I was thinking of maybe stealing my ps3 and newly aquired speaker set and putting it in my room, Where I have a 23LG flatron, which you can't wall mount but hoping to upgrade to a sony 37"4000 or something like that. Wall mount that and never be seen out of my room again :)

But any advice or anything, is appreciated

Thanks

budget system

Hey guy's I'm new to the whole home cinema thing, :)
Well I've been looking around for my first surround sound system, which is hurting my brain now :/
But I have contacted an audio site and they have recommended I wait for the Onkyo 507 to come out, seeing as I'm on a budget.
I was also considering MJ Acoustics Xeno system. I think i could probably squeeze a deal out of the company to get the package price under £1000.
Is this a good choice or not?
I've read mixed reviews and am slightly confused.
Thanks for any contributions in advance
Ollie

Note : you certainly are confused!

Yeah, I was going for the £1000 mark but then my parents completely said it was out of the question :( so i'm having to be happy with an all in one or nothing at all.

Another option for you could be a soundbar especially if you are going to use it in your bedroom. On Amazon there is a Samsung HT X810R with a wireless Subwoofer and can play DVDs that is approx £365 or the excellent Yamaha YSP 600 that is £305.97, both have favourable reviews.
