Hitachi PJ-TX300 able to display a 2.35:1 cinemascope ratio, Plus is the Pansonic AE4000 a worthy upgrade??

As above please, a bit confused about this [:p]

Also maybe a silly question, but how does the above compare to a Panasonic PTAE4000

My mate has the Hitachi, and is grumbling about the lack of Full HD on it, but he needs convicing that the Panasonic is a must buy, he is in favour of the Cinemascope ratio, hence the question

The Panasonic is an excellent buy and certainly one of the main contenders for Best Projector at the £2000 price point. I am not familiar with your friends Hitachi but it is lower resolution so you should notice that difference straight away. The main strength of the Pana save excellent colour balance is the motion. I would be very surprised if the Hitachi was as capable in that field.

As for 2.35:1 the Panasonic doesnt actually offer this facility , more of a memory zoom that allows you to easily enlarge the picture. The software works well but it is not true 2.35:1. As this is a relatively new feature I do not imagine that the TX300 offers it, the manual will confirm this though.
