i currently have a "high end" 1080p sony kdl46-w905 but want the big screen size like you get in the cinema which makes it so much more immersive. although there are several problems i might face trying to get a projector in my living room..
Short throw vs (normal? or long throw). my speakers and av receiver are staying where they are 100% not moving them at all. so having a normal throw projector at the other end will be a huge pain having to run huge speaker wire and hdmi cables (hdmi mainly will cost a ton)
picture quality. if i spend about £500-600 on a projector will the inferior picture quality make a huge difference on the big screen and left me disappointed? ive read reviews on a certain optoma short throw projector which seems good but the colours brightness and PQ all got average marks. ive also seen a projector by benq which has a "wireless kit" that allows you to have it at the other side of the room but have it all wirelessly connected via an optional kit. would it work with a sony str-dn1040 receiver?
