Hi folks. I am having trouble setting up my new TT/Amp/Speakers correctly. My setup is as follows:

Sony PS-212 TT into Phono input of Kenwood KA-3020 amp, then to Bose speakers via Tuner Out. I'm getting no sound. If I change the TT input to TAPE REC then I get sound but very quiet.

I'm new to this so I'm probably doing something very obviously wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Presumably your Bose speakers are powered?
If so, connect them to 'Rec' (either tape 1 or 2)
Leave the TT plugged into 'phono'
The Bose speakers will then play whatever source is selected by 'rec out selector' switch.
(Set that switch to phono then you will hear the TT)

Note that the 'tuner' sockets you were using are an input to your Kenwood. The Bose plugs are looking for an output, which they will get from 'rec'.
(Connecting standard (passive) speakers to the Kenwood might give you better sound).
