Don't you worry about it Max...there's a lot on here who will argue whether an expensive HDMI cable is better/worse than a cheapo or whether it takes time to 'run-in' a speaker wire (lol) but they say so with agusto.

There are new speakers from B&W on the front page and there is a short (very short) video telling a little about them and if memory serves the more expensive set cost eighteen grand ... does that mean for all those who 'talk-up' their own set-up are, well... listening to speakers which aint' so good ? Opinions man... it's all about opinions.

So hang on in there and i'll bet in a short time your own opinion will be regarded as most informant/or not like an awful lot of others are or not 🙂

maxflinn:anyone fancy having a go at explaining the various hifi terms ? synergy , smooth , agile , attack , warm etc .. any takers ??

Allow me.

Synergy - Warm paired with Lean. Lean paired with warm.

Smooth - Rolled off highs. Limited hyper detail. Bassier.

Agile - Lean, less bass, more highs. Small drivers.

Attack - Clean prominent midrange. Louder midrange detail.

Warm - Bassier. Or...actually has bass. Music does have bass by the way. Try not to be afraid of it. It's nice once you get used to it.
