You should have 2 bridging tags supplied with each speaker. You should connect the two +ve reds to one another and the 2 -ve blacks to one another. I'd expect the manual to make that clear.

See my 'Am I a mumpty' thread though if you think I know what I'm on about.

Yes I concur, when I had HF and LF on my CM1s I got slightly better detail when connected to the HF terminals..............

gbhsi1:Surely putting the speaker cables either on the HF or LF wouldn't matter?

I asked this same question awhile back and I got the same blank stares, yet so many people support the concept of replacing the stock binding post jumpers. Obviously if the stock binding post jumpers can impact the sound enough to necessitate replacing them with quality cable, then it does matter which post you hook to (top or bottom), since the one you hook to will not be degraded by the evil stock jumper.

BTW, I use the stock jumper on my MA RS6s and I love them. In fact, I'm trying to buy some spares from Monitor Audio to sell as upgrades for other speaker brands. These darn stock jumpers are magical! To prove it, I pulled them out and the bass completely disappeared!

The distance involved is far too small to make any difference, so don't worry about it.

In time it may be beneficial to replace the bridging 'tags' (or bars) with jumpers like these...

http://www.chord-cable-store.co.uk/Speaker+Cables/Spk+Cables+2-2/Signature+Jumpers.html

Make sure at least one end (or both) are terminated with spade lugs.

They don't have to be those exact ones in my link (bit pricey) they are just for illustration of the idea...

To your original question, yes connect your cables to the HF.

OK, but why??? What on earth is wrong with the jumpers - they have a larger x sectional area, are shorter (less phase misaligment) and less contact interfaces (and therefore hysteresis losses). I really really cannot hear any benefit when I tried these, not even after beer and optimism tablets!
