Help,
I've had a 5.1 set up for the last 6 months with no problems, all the speakers are displayed on the Onkyo's front panel and are working fine. Today I purchased on extra two monitor audio speakers to enable me to play 7.1 via my Pansonic Blu Ray player. All went well with the Onkyo's auto set up it reconised my two extra speakers, I've set up my Blu ray player to bitsream in all formats to the Onkyo, PCM down compression is OFF and BD-video is Off. Whowever when watching the Film jumper no sound is output to the rear back speakers although the Onkyo is diplaying True HD sound, the (or 7.1) sound is only herd when using THX cinema listning mode. There is a box for the speakers displayed on the Onkyo's display panel but no letters to indicate output to the speakers and the input to the Amp for the player is only 48kHz not 96kHz.
Is this ok? only 5.1 and not 7.1 when using the TrueHD listning mode. or
Is it the film?
Is it the Amp settings?
Is it the Player settings?
Please Help
